The Wrath of God - The Truth About Zodiac Signs

LADE ...
Auf der Südhalbkugel gibt es unsere Sternbilder nicht, Australien und der Großteil Afrikas und Südamerikas hat also keine Ansprüche auf Horoskope

First of all: why a contribution with such a polarising title? Two days ago, on 18 October, Klaus Kinski would have turned 95 years young on Earth if he had not returned to his home star system just 22 solar cycles ago.
With the 1972 film "Aguirre, the Wrath of God" by Werner Herzog, the actor, who was born under the zodiac sign of Libra, showed the importance of constellations at birth. Libra are considered balanced, optimistic, charming, peace-loving, cultured, compassionate, polite, considerate, graceful, diplomatic, in need of harmony and cheerful, to name but a few things. In other words, exactly what we have come to know about Klaus G. K. Nakszynski in his film portrayals and TV appearances.

Likewise, Serena Williams with her reserved manner towards umpires and line judges on the tennis court when something doesn't go her way, Xavier Naidoo with his convincing opinion on world events or Gwen Stefani in her modest musical performances show the nature of 'blind Justice'.
However, Mahatma Gandhi is often taken as a prime example for a typical scale; the lawyer who achieved India's independence from Great Britain all by himself with a peaceful hunger strike. The fact that at that time half a billion Indians did not have to go on strike to starve because the caste system supported by Gandhi, into whose top he was born, had forgotten the 'untouchables' (hierarchically under the four varnas), preferably falls under the table.

Forgotten is the keyword for the dispute that flares up every 124.6 years about the discrepancy between constellations and zodiac signs. The Julian calendar from Egypt with its leap month was suitable for representing the difference between the lunar and solar year (that's why astronomers still use it today), but Western culture is more in favour of tropical zodiacs (which are 12 evenly spaced) and above all against the number 13.

Science and faith

Even the ancient Greeks were able to calculate and observe that precession (the shift of the Earth's axis) causes the appearing constellations to deviate by about 1 % per year and that already 2000 years ago the Sun no longer 'stood' in front of the constellations (or the Earth moved opposite) that defined the signs of the zodiac; but astrologers continue to believe that stargazing is not about constellations or signs, but about adhering to tradition.

You know?

In the current* year, the trundling earth provides for the following arrangement of the sun signs or constellations (not to be confused with the signs of the zodiac)
Aries: 19 April to 14 May
Taurus: 15 May to 21 June
Gemini: 22 June to 20 July
Cancer: 21 July to 10 August
Leo: 11 August to 16 September
Virgo: 17 September to 31 October
Libra: 1 November to 23 November
Scorpio: 24 November to 28 November
Serpent Bearer: 29 November to 17 December
Sagittarius: 18 December to 20 January
Capricorn: 21 January to 16 February
Aquarius: 17 February to 12 March
Pisces: 13 March to 18 April
*soon - at the next revolution of the earth's sun - it will be different again.

One could also become thoughtful if one considers that multiple births (so as not to run the risk of being confused with the plural sign of the zodiac Gemini, just as those born under the sign 'Pisces' refer to themselves singularly as 'Fish') are very different in character, even if one takes into account that the rotation of the earth affects the stars, which are mostly visible at night, every minute and thus determines the ascendant.

The Chinese were already ahead of us thousands of years ago, when the males still beat the females down with clubs at the campfire and dragged them into the caves, there were twelve signs of the zodiac with five combined elements and not something like ascendants at the minute of birth.

I prefer to stick with the Libra couple Catherine Zeta-Jones Michael Douglas, who were born on the same day at the end of September - only 25 years apart, simply Earth-Cock and Wood-Monkey in the Chinese horoscope and thus the most harmonious duo since Asterix and Obelix.
