What we have missed and will still miss

The beginning of spring - whether meteorological or calendrical, since the beginning of weather recording there has never been a season that went as unnoticed as this March 1-20. Yet this year the date of the northern hemisphere's equinox fell on the Friday following the 13th - a bad omen.

We also missed out on Compliments Day (1 March), International Irish Whiskey Day (3 March), International Proud of Your Middle Name Day (6 March), followed by the birthday of The Mouse Show, Healthy Eating Day and Paris Waste Separation Day (7 March), World Women's Day and International Planetarium Day (8 March), Barbie's Birthday (9 March), International Bag Pipe Day (9 March), and International Day of the World.), International Bag Pipe Day (10th), World Pipe Day (11th), Wetl Day of Sleep, coinciding with National Thai Elephant Day and Open Your Umbrella Indoors Day in the USA (13th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th), National Potato Day (11th).), National Potato Chip Day in the US and Howaito dē (the Japanese Valentine's Day, 14th), Brutus and World Consumer Day (15th), St Patricks Day and the English for Yellow and Other Coloured Submarine Day (17th).

The 20th is special not only because of the Haidnian worship of spring, but also because on this day we missed World Capt. Jack Sparrow Day, the United Nations' international day of happiness, Ravioli Day (the American National Ravioli Day) and World Storytelling Day, the international World Storytelling Day 2020. In contrast, the 21st stinks with the World Day of Forests and Wood, matching Indiebookday in D, A and CH, UNESCO Poetry Day and Baguette Day in the USA.

The 22nd scores with World Water Day, also International Seal Day; the 23rd is World Meteorology Day as well as Chia Seed Day and Dog Puppy Day in the US, followed by European Artisanal Ice Cream Day, Chocolate Candy Day in the US and Germany's "Draw an Elephant" Day (24th).

The 25th impresses with holidays such as Våffeldagen (the day of the waffle in Sweden), Manatee Appreciation Day 2020 in the US, European Talent Day, Tolkien Reading Day and the international Document Freedom Day. Three weeks after Ireland's is International Normal Whiskey Day, on the same day as World Theatre Day, followed by World Piano Day on 28 March, which in the US is also Eggsibit Day, National Something on a Stick Day, Respect Your Cat Day, National Black Forest Cake Day and Weed Appreciation Day.

The day, or rather the night, that we would all like to save ourselves because it ensures that we can't sleep or wake up properly for weeks: on 29 March at 2 o'clock, timepieces will be set to 3 across Europe. Non-movable holidays on the following date are the American Take A Walk In The Park Day, which is difficult to observe, as is the international 'Hug a Medievalist' Day to be celebrated on the 31st.

That leaves only Donaldism Day to give us hope. 313 is the registration number of the car Donald Duck drives. The cartoonist Carl Barks, who created the character, used his own number plate. In Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden (where the duck is called Kalle Anka), 31.3. has been celebrated since 2018. In drawings and thoughts we can all walk through the park. When this is over, we will all hug each other more, not only medievalists.
